If a noncompliant passenger was escalating and nearby travelers were becoming uneasy, my priority would be to keep the situation contained, controlled, and clearly managed. I would use direct instructions, keep my tone firm and calm, and involve the lead crew member early enough that we stay ahead of the escalation instead of chasing it.

I would also think beyond the one passenger. Nearby travelers are watching the crew for cues, so I would position myself carefully, keep communication clear with the team, and, if appropriate, help create space so other passengers do not get pulled into the situation.
