If I do not have obvious scale leverage, I try to avoid negotiating like I do. Instead, I focus on clarity, credibility, and finding the parts of the deal where both sides still have room to move. That may be forecast visibility, payment timing, service expectations, smoother ordering patterns, or a longer-term relationship that is worth something to the supplier.
