Why does communication matter so much for flight attendants?

Communication matters because flight attendants are constantly guiding people through expectations, procedures, and changes. If I communicate clearly, passengers are more likely to cooperate, feel calmer, and trust that the crew knows what it is doing.

It also matters internally. The crew has to stay aligned on what is happening in the cabin, what needs attention, and when something should be escalated. Clear communication keeps service smoother and makes safety-related situations easier to manage.
